Terms & Conditions


The following expressions have the following meanings:
''Make-up Artist'' refers to Graceful Brides.
''Client''  refers to the person or persons responsible for making the booking (usually the bride).

 

Clients Responsibility


Skin allergies -

Any allergies or skin conditions that the client may have must be told to the makeup artist. If the person is highly reactive to such products/ tools then this must be declared immediately. A trial is highly recommended to ensure no reactions occur.

The make-up artist will not be held responsible for any reactions that may occur if any skin conditions were not stated before the application of make-up.

Photography-

The makeup artist will ask to take photos of the finished makeup/hair look to use on social media/ website to showcase her work. Please declare in advance if you wish not to be photographed or the images to be used on social media.
 

Deposits-
To reserve your date a non-refundable and transferable £50.00 deposit is required upon booking, without this deposit your date will not be reserved.
After the deposit has been paid, confirmed numbers may be increased at the make-up artists discretion (depending on timings). If the numbers are reduced dramatically the confirmed total may still be charged. 

The deposit of £50.00 will be deducted off the final balance, which is due no later than 6 weeks before the wedding day.

Deposit and final payment can be paid by cash or BACS transfer.

Payment of the deposit confirms that you agree to the full terms and conditions for the services provided by Graceful Brides.

 

Trial
Trial payments must be paid no later than one week before the trial date via bank transfer or by cash on the day. The payment of the trial is non refundable. Trials can take place at my home studio in Chelmsford or the clients chosen venue. 
Trials cannot take place at weekends due to high demand of weddings. Appointments for trials are available Monday to Friday (excluding bank holidays).

If you require a second trial you will be required to pay the full trial amount again.

 

Payment
All payment is required by BACS.

The price agreed at the time of booking is final. If Graceful Brides adjust the price list changes at all, your booking will not be affected.

Discounts will be applied to large parties. If the number or party changes any discounts will void and full current pricing will be charged.

It is the responsibility of the named person (usually the bride) on the booking form to read and accept responsibility for all booking conditions and payments due.  By proceeding to secure a booking by paying a deposit you accept that you are entering into a contract with Graceful Brides.

Travel Charges

A 30 mile round trip from Chelmsford (CM2) is included in all bookings. Any additional miles will be charged at 0.50p per mile. if any Toll charges or parking charges occur these will be charged additional.

Alterations
Notification of any changes to the booking and trial as soon as possible. This includes changes to the number of clients, location, dates and times. It is the client’s responsibility to do this, as Graceful Brides cannot guarantee availability for herself and her team all day.

Changes must be confirmed in writing via e-mail or in person and are not accepted as written notice until you have received a reply. Please do not rely on texts as they are not always received.
 

Please note that if the wedding party decreases in number after the numbers have been confirmed, the confirmed total will still be charged.
If part of a booking is changed/cancelled less than 6 weeks prior to the wedding date, the balance will still be required in full.

 

Cancellation of the booking by the client -
Any payments that have been made will not be refunded. Should you need to cancel any appointment please contact Graceful Brides as soon as possible.

The client can cancel a trial at any point, however a trial cancelled with less then 72 hours notice will be charged for at the agreed rate.

If for any reason the client wishes to cancel the wedding booking, it must be done in writing no less than 6 weeks before the wedding. If notice is given after this time, the full outstanding amount is still payable. Should any objections to any outstanding payment occur upon cancelling, Graceful Brides will proceed with legal action to recover any loss in payment.

Cancellation of the booking by Graceful Brides
In the unlikely event that Graceful Brides are unable to attend, she will endeavour to find another professional make-up artist of equal standard and you will be refunded in full.

Where no other suitable alternative can be offered, a full refund will be given to the client. No further compensation will be offered.

If the booking is directly affected by circumstance beyond the control of the makeup artist -
Where possible the makeup artist will endeavour to rectify such situations however no compensation will be offered on the makeup artists part. In the event of extreme weather conditions, where the Met Office have issued a 'Red' warning, Graceful Brides has the right to cancel without refund.  

Time Delays
Graceful Brides will not be held responsible for any delays caused by events beyond their control.
No refund or compensation will be given in the event of delays caused by other wedding vendors, guests, or members of your bridal party. If you suspect any member of your bridal party may pose as a challenge in any way, they are encouraged to have a trial to avoid potential delays on the day.

Please ensure that every member of your party is aware of timings on the day and that they stay available. 
Prior to having makeup applied or hair styled please ensure that you and your party avoid leaving the chair whilst we are working. 

On a wedding day, time is of the essence. Please ensure that hair is clean, completely dry, and free from product. Washing hair the night before, avoiding heavy conditioners and not straightening is advised, unless stated otherwise.

Please do not sit children/babies on your lap whilst having your hair styled or make-up applied. For their own safety please ensure that children are kept away from our styling tools and products at all times. Styling irons are extremely hot, and hazardous. Makeup artists will not be held responsible if a child is injured as a result of the parent or carer not being present.
